CAITLIN FERRY
Occupational Therapist & Matresence Coach
Caitlin Ferry has been an Occupational Therapist for over a decade, and somewhere along the way, a particular truth became impossible to ignore: the women who needed support the most were often the ones least likely to receive it. Mothers.
Her passion for matrescence, the profound psychological, neurological and identity-level transformation that becoming a mother brings, sits at the absolute core of her work. She believes it is one of the most significant and least understood transitions a woman will ever move through, and that the lack of recognition around it does real harm. Caitlin is determined to change that, one woman at a time.
Through her practice Wayfind, she brings the rigour of a decade of OT experience into a space that is anything but clinical in feel. Her work with mothers is values-based, unhurried and deeply human. She helps women slow down long enough to understand what is actually happening inside them, not just what they need to manage or get through, but what they need to truly inhabit their lives again.
She holds a simple but quietly radical belief: mothers don't need fixing. They need space, support and someone who understands that what they are going through is not a problem to be solved but a becoming to be witnessed.
Caitlin is a mother of two daughters, and everything she knows about matrescence, she has also lived. She lives in North Brisbane with her family.
