Naturopathy

Naturopathy is a whole-person approach to health. Rather than managing symptoms in isolation, our naturopath looks at the full picture of what is happening in your body and your life, and works to understand the root causes driving what you are experiencing.

It is an approach that holds both traditional healing wisdom and modern, evidence-based research in equal regard. Herbal medicine, targeted nutrition, lifestyle medicine and nervous system support are all tools in the toolkit, and the way they are combined is always specific to you.

Your consultation will be thorough and unhurried. Kellie will want to understand not just your current symptoms but your health history, your environment, your stress load, your digestion, your sleep and the patterns that have been present for years, not just weeks. Because often the thing that brings a woman in is just the most recent expression of something that has been building for much longer.

Areas she commonly works across include gut function and digestion, food sensitivities, hormonal health, immune function, inflammation, autoimmunity, mental and emotional health, metabolic health, sleep and chronic stress. She will also review any existing medications or test results you have, so your care is informed and considered from the very first session.

What you leave with is a personalised treatment plan that is realistic, practical and built around your life, not just your lab results.

  • Your GP plays an important role in your healthcare, and naturopathy works alongside that rather than replacing it. Where a GP is often focused on diagnosing and managing conditions, a naturopath spends more time exploring the underlying patterns contributing to your symptoms and supporting your body's capacity to heal. Kellie will always work collaboratively with your existing healthcare team where relevant.

  • If you have recent blood tests or other pathology, bring those along. Any information about medications, supplements or previous diagnoses is also helpful. The more context Kellie has, the more tailored your care can be from the very first session.

  • This varies depending on what you are coming in for and how long you have been experiencing it. Acute concerns may resolve relatively quickly, while more complex or longstanding patterns often benefit from a course of treatment over several months. Kellie will give you a realistic sense of what to expect at your first appointment.

  • Absolutely, and we would encourage it. Naturopathy works particularly well alongside acupuncture, nutrition and psychology. Our team communicates and collaborates where appropriate so your care feels joined up rather than fragmented.
