International Board Certified Lactation Consultant

Rachel Hodge knows what it feels like to struggle with breastfeeding and not know where to turn. Her own difficult experience in 2006, and the support she eventually found through the Australian Breastfeeding Association, changed the entire direction of her life. She trained as a volunteer counsellor with the ABA before going on to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, driven by a simple desire to make sure other mothers didn't have to struggle alone.

That lived experience sits behind everything she does. Rachel understands the emotional weight that feeding challenges carry, the exhaustion, the doubt, the grief that can surface when things don't go the way you hoped. She brings that understanding into every consultation alongside genuine clinical expertise, helping women work through common feeding challenges, pain, low supply, latch issues and the complicated feelings that so often live alongside them.

A mother of four herself, Rachel's approach is warm, unhurried and deeply practical. She meets women where they are, without judgement, and helps them find a path forward that feels manageable and right for them and their baby.

Her advice to new mothers has always been the same: trust your instincts. Others will offer opinions, but you know your child better than anyone.

Rachel lives on Brisbane's south side with her husband Matt and their four children.
